Refresh the sheets.

Your bedroom is one of the most important places for romance to happen. So a good practice to get into is changing your sheets often. For starters it shows you care about your partner wanting them to sleep on clean sheets. Plus if you are having sex very often the sheets can get dirty pretty fast. Sleeping in the wet spot is bad enough but think about that spot drying up and staying in your sheets. Get yourself several different sets of sheets, different colors and different fabric types to set specific moods or to deal with the changing seasons. Flannel sheets are great for snuggling up in the colder winter months, while cotton sheets add an airy comfort in the summer time. Colors such as red and black help promote intimacy and silk and satin sheets can make you feel like you are in your own porn movie. You can change the whole dynamic of you bedroom just by changing the sheets. Buy sheets for special occasions and as gifts to make them even more special. Have Christmas sheets with christmas colors, you can also have anniversary sheets if you like. No matter what your taste a little more time between the sheets is never a bad thing in the case of romance.

Spring Training for Romance

With spring right around the corner it is time to get your romance in shape for the coming good weather. Things like walks, outdoor activities and cookouts are almost here. Are you ready to start sharing these things with your partner. Do you know what they like cooked on the grill, do you have areas of your community picked out for your warm weather walks, and do you have a list of outdoor activities planned for the two of you. You need to have a plan in place so that when you get a day with excellent weather you are ready and don't sit around wondering what to do. Keep an eye in your local paper for festivals and events that will start popping up and are great outdoor activities. One of the first signs of spring you might think are flowers but the local youth baseball players will hit the field first. Go out and attend a game even if you don't have any children you will get a good feeling after you watch a game of 5 year olds play. Romance doesn't lay dormant like a lot of things do during the winter but it gives it a different feel when you can spread your romance to outdoor activities.

Warm sexy sleepwear?

Is there such a thing as warm sexy sleepwear? At first thought I would have to say no, most of the sleepwear that turns me on has to show lots of skin and be as skimpy as possible. However then I ponder a little bit longer and some images pop into my head. Long underwear if the right kind and worn correctly can be a turn on as well as flannel PJ's with a sexy surprise underneath. As I dig deeper into this myth I realize that if my partner is warm to begin with it might just be a little easier to warm him/her up for a little more then just sleep. Next time your partner slips into bed wearing the plaid flannel don't be disappointed instead use the fabric to create a little heat. Begin to rub them in a manner that warms up their body using the flannel as an aid in this, with any luck soon your partner will be so warm that they might have to slip out of their flannel wear. Once out then they are going to need a lot more attention to stay as warm as they were.

Can Reading together be Romantic?

Reading is usually an activity that you think about doing by yourself, but can you make it romantic? The answer is yes! Think about it, grab a warm blanket, snuggle down on the couch laying sitting close to each other and reading. Silence is only broken by your breath and page flips. Body heat keeping the two of you warm on a clod winter day. Maybe reading in bed is your passion but you can keep it romantic by touching each other while you read. Let your feet touch and caress the other persons as you read the pages in your book. Some couples like to read things together such as erotica works or even just stories about love. Another great way to make reading romantic is by getting your sunday paper and spreading it out while the two of you pick your favorite section and read it while laying all over each other. Hold hands while you read or take turns reading to each other is a great way to stay connected while you read. Books are great and there are so many out their, now with the electronic readers you can get and read almost anyplace you can imagine but isn't it much bette when you are with your partner?

Time to practice your touching.

This is the time of year of extra clothing and not much skin showing. Which also means that you don't touch each other as much, at least on the skin as you do during the warmer months of the year. With this said you have to take full advantage of touching when you get a chance. Whenever you snuggle up together under a blanket make sure to find your partners skin and caress it (make sure you hands are warm, first) Make it a point to give each other massages and use lotion to chase away dry skin that is ever present during this time of year. Make sure to touch areas of their skin that is exposed even it is not a normal place you touch, places like the face or ankles give a deeper meaning to touch.

Touch is an important part of our relationships. It keeps us close to our partner it gives us that feeling of confidence and empowerment in the fact that someone cares about us.

Santa's Sack

With Christmas approaching soon, now is the time to get all the milage you can out of the Holidays. Today I want you to go and rip the sheets off your bed and find some nice warm red flannel sheets to put on your bed. Then go find some white blanket and drape it across the top of the bed just below the pillows. Now you have Santa's bed at your disposal. Tell you partner you have a surprise for them and let them into the bedroom and inform them that for the rest of the holidays you will be sleeping and making love to them in Santa's Bed.

Lights of Love

During the holidays we make everything we can a little more festive. Well one thing I think adds a lot of festivity to your Christmas tree is to use only candle light to light the room your tree is in. Yes you will have the lights on the tree but the soft flickering light of the candles will add a special touch to the room. Not only will it direct more attention to your tree but it will also make you more aware of each other. The normal bright lights we use make us think more of work and shopping then of the soft and wonderful feels of the holiday. When you have a day when the two of you can just snuggle down replace all your lighting with candles and see what happens. I am sure it will be a little more romantic.

Corny but effective at this time of year - Sleigh Ride!

We have all seen the classic Christmas card with the couple in a sleigh with a horse pulling them. Well why not take that classic card to the next level and find a place where you can enjoy the ride for yourself. Obviously during this time of year you can find them everywhere most of them are the wheeled type of carriages. However, if you are in a place that has plenty of snow you can most likely find a place that has the old school horse pulled carriage. Not only will you get to snuggle close to your love but usually the scenery is absolutely beautiful. Take your camera along to remember you ride, some ride might take you during the evening and show you the wonderful Christmas lights around town. As you ride around remember the reason for the season the and the wonderful person seated beside you.

It's about time to fire up the fireplace.

The air outside is starting to get cold and it is about time to fire up the fireplace. Nothing is more romantic then sitting with your lover snuggled up in front of a nice cosy fireplace. This is something you need to think about when purchasing a house. Especially if you are buying the house in the heat of the summer. In the summer you might not think a fireplace is that important. Let's look at the romance factor. Sipping wine in front of a fireplace snuggled up with you honey. The crackling sound the smell of the wood, being in your own house, things could get a little heated up and why shouldn't they. If you have a fireplace now is the time to make sure it is in good order. Get someone out to clean the chimney, clean out the opening and get all the old ashes out. That way when the time comes to build that first romantic fire of the season you or your love won't be disappointed.

Towels Glorious Towels

One thing you can never have enough of in a relationship is towels. Think I am kidding go to your linen closet right now and look at your towels. I bet you have some that you have had for a very long time. The ones that don’t really soak up any water but you keep them just incase you might run out of towels. Now get your butt in the car and go to the local discount store and pick up some nice big fluffy towels. You better get plenty or you and your family will be fighting over them. Towels are a comfort that we seem to take for granted, but nothing is nicer then getting that big comfortable towel around you after a nice hot shower. If you really want to get brownie points with your lover next time they are in the shower steal their towel and place it in the dryer, warm it up really good. Then when they scream at you for taking their towel present them with the warmest towel in the house. I can almost hear the sighs now. AHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Naps

On thing people don't usually considers romantic is naps. Taking a break on a lazy Sunday afternoon is a great way to get close and relax together. Turn on some football, get into some comfy clothes and snuggle down together. If you don't want to sleep that is okay just be close. Their is something about a little drowsy nap to get you closer. Maybe a little rumble in the sheets before a nap is a good thing for the two of you. However, the nap will get you energized for later activities or just maybe a movie or a walk. Don't miss the signs if your body is telling you to take a nap, you must need one. Naps are so much better though with someone you love holding or touching you.

The gift of a good nights sleep

One thing that everyone lose is a great night of sleep. So often in today society we don't get enough sleep. But today you are going to take some steps to try to give you partner a great nights sleep. There are several ways to get people in the mood for a great night sleep. Many people believe that a warm glass of milk does the trick while other thing a little kahlua and milk will do the trick. Find out which makes your partner most relaxed and have the drink waiting on them just before bedtime. The next thing you need to incorporate is touch. Either a nice massage on the back or a light flowing touch works wonderful in adding extra relations for you partner to make them sleep better. Make sure all distractions are taken care of, like children, noises in the house, and keep the light dim until you turn them out completely. If you partner needs background noise such as a fan make sure to have that in place also. Sex also works to help some people sleep but this is hit or miss so don't count on it working unless they give the nod for it. Lastly make sure you are still while in the bed. If you flopping around like a fish they are not going to get any good sleep. Find a positions in which you can lay and touch them and doze off yourself, hopefully in the morning they will wake being refreshed and ready to thank you for the great night of sleep.

Do something in the sunshine you'e never done before?

It's been a long winter and with summer just around the corner, take advantage of those first few warm days. Find something that you normally do inside and take it outside. By getting outside to perform you task you usually do inside it will make your feel a whole lot different about doing this task. For instance take your laundry outside to fold, read a book outside on a blanket, or the two of you could take a game outside and play on a picnic table. Always address the day before you head out. If it is windy you might not want to take your paper work outside to perform, unless you want to chase it all over your neighbors yard. Give your sweetie a neck rub outside in the warm sun. This is a simple item to perform just find something you do inside and find a way to do it outside. Wireless Internet access can even let you complete work outside, how about that. Hooray for technology.
