Don't forget Mothers Day

Let me tell you this. A lot of women judge how you will treat them in a relationship by how you treat your mother. They feel like this was the main female figure in your life and how you treat her is how you treat women in general. Of coarse this is not always the case but showing if it is showing affection for your mother on Mothers Day works double. Not only to you make your mother feel special but you make your partner feel like she has made the right choice. A simple bouquet of flowers will do the trick, just make sure to pick up two of them. If you partner is also the mother of your children make sure to make a huge deal about it on mothers day make sure to make her feel as special as she is.

Love thy self!

When we think of romance we think of doing kind things for the person we love. Sending them flowers, giving them massages, hand in hand walks and passionate love making fill our heads when we think about romance. I want to tell you that by loving yourself you are setting up the romance in your life to become way more better. When we are comfortable with who and what we are we give of a confidence that is like a drug to others. They catch on to the feeling and want and desire to have it for themselves. I am not talking about conceit I am talking about honest to goodness feeling good about yourself. Conceit is trying to show everyone how great you are while loving yourself is an content within yourself. These people that love themselves are never alone and have tons of energy to give to creating romance in their lives. It might sound a little crazy but to get the most out of your romance make sure to love yourself first. If you find trouble doing this make a list of all your characteristics that you think others find appealing to you and read them often to confirm the reasons why you lover yourself. You are a special person and someone somewhere will see that in you also.

Spring Training for Romance

With spring right around the corner it is time to get your romance in shape for the coming good weather. Things like walks, outdoor activities and cookouts are almost here. Are you ready to start sharing these things with your partner. Do you know what they like cooked on the grill, do you have areas of your community picked out for your warm weather walks, and do you have a list of outdoor activities planned for the two of you. You need to have a plan in place so that when you get a day with excellent weather you are ready and don't sit around wondering what to do. Keep an eye in your local paper for festivals and events that will start popping up and are great outdoor activities. One of the first signs of spring you might think are flowers but the local youth baseball players will hit the field first. Go out and attend a game even if you don't have any children you will get a good feeling after you watch a game of 5 year olds play. Romance doesn't lay dormant like a lot of things do during the winter but it gives it a different feel when you can spread your romance to outdoor activities.

Flowers with a twist.

For those of you that love to send flowers, women applaud you. However their biggest gripe about this is that flowers don't last and they are not like memories, you don't think about them later on in life. A good alternative is the new fruit bouquet that incorporates tasty fruit into flower shapes. Then they are put on sticks so they can be arranged like your everyday flower arrangement. This is a great idea if you are sending the item to your partner at work or a party that way all the items will not go to waste. Everyone will also know where the person got such a tasty treat giving you even more brownie points.

Click on the title of this post to be taken to the Edible Arrangement web site to see what they have to offer.

A simple little gift says so much.

How many times have you wanted to purchase something special for the one you love, only to realize that you have NO MONEY! Well you with some creative thinking you can get your lover a special surprise without having much money. Think about little things that mean a lot to the person. A single flower says a lot and doesn't cost very much at all you can purchase a carnation for under a dollar usually. Maybe you could pick up their favorite candy bar and put a bow on it, again you will spend less then a dollar and your partner will enjoy the candy as well as knowing the you were thinking about them. Coupons are another great way to show you care without spending any money. Give your love a coupon for a massage by you, or give them a "Get out of Laundry Jail" card that entitles them to not have to do any laundry for a week. Cook them a wonderful meal, pour them a relaxing bath, clean their car or rent the movie they have been wanting to see are great ideas that cost next to nothing to get. A real heart string tugger is to find some old pictures to remind them of times past and how great your memories are of those times. I will never accept the excuse that "I don't have any money" for avoiding being romantic, it is the person and thoughts that are romantic not the gifts.
