Something that gets lost in the middle or relationships is the good night kiss. When you move in together or spend a lot of time at each others house, we all seem to move our kisses inside the house. My suggestion is the next time you have an enjoyable evening out you should kiss at the door as kind of an end to a great evening. Even if your are going to have more fun when you get inside, it is a nice statement and an innocent act that makes you think back to the first few times you were together. Random Act of Kindness

It's time to take some action. Hopefully your relationship is strong and if not, it's time to put that aside for a bit and help someone else. If you look around, I am sure you can find someone not far from you that needs help. The older woman down the street that can't mow her yard very well, the family where both parents are unemployed, or maybe it's just your grandmother that can’t get out to the store very easy. I am sure when you start thinking about it there are several people around you that could use a boost up. Sometimes helping someone else is the best way to help ourselves.

My wife has told me several times about how lucky we are compared to some of the other couples she runs into. I agree with her. Sure there are a lot of things we would like to have, but we don't need them. Go out and do something for someone else with no expectations of a return. I think they call them random acts of kindness. Help someone load his/her groceries in to the car, stop and help someone with a flat tire, clean out your closet and donate all the clothes that you don't wear to charity. If you really think about it, we have an over abundance and it might even seem to others as if we are very rich when we see ourselves as unfortunate.

How can this help my relationship you might ask? Well if you’re asking that question, maybe you’re not ready to complete this activity. You should get a great sense of pride helping other people. That is the reward. Put that into a situation where both of you work together to help someone and you both get that feeling. Make a commitment that when every you feel like grabbing a burger the both of you remain strong and make a grilled cheese or turkey sandwich at home. Then the money you would have spent eating something bad for you and put it in a jar marked, "Date Night" Continue doing this until you have enough in the jar to experience your favorite activity together. Heck you could even save for a trip if you are strong enough. Make a penalty also so that if you do go out and eat fast food you have to replace the money you spend from your jar. You will soon start thinking about just grabbing fast food all together. Not only will your body thank you but your can both thank each other when you are sitting on the beach somewhere special.

An interesting concept that has taken me a while to understand is now an important fact in my life. To love you have to love yourself first. For years I have always thought that my love for my partner is the most important thing. However you cannot give your love away if it is not in you to begin with. I am not say that you need to do things differently in the way you treat your partner but you need to treat yourself differently. Make you that you are getting the things to make your happy and then your happiness will spread to your partner. They will start picking up on your happiness and if they truly love you then, they will feel more love towards you and you can share you love easily with them. It is a circle and once you understand it your love will really start to pick up speed.

The one thing I think all couples should do is get their picture taken together. I don't mean to go out and get a setting down with a professional photographer. I am talking about pictures of the two of you doing the thing in life that are fun to you. Vacations, cookouts, or just when you are being silly hand your camera over to someone and ask them to take your picture. These are the pictures you want to hang up around your house. Get a podcast about sex or one about being more romantic. Even if you get one that will teach you something to share with your partner is a good idea. This will give you ideas for later when you get home and also give you something to talk about during dinner. Branch out and get a podcast that you might not normally listen to and enjoy learning something different who knows you might find something that will interest the both of you.

The time is right.

The time is always right for a wonderful time together. Take what you have and make the best of it. So what if you don't have a lot of money. Take a wonderful walk together, or rent a movie and make popcorn at home to get your dating in. Build a relationship first and then when the money starts coming in you can make up for those dates where you had to just walk together. Just don't dwell on the fact that you finances are not the best. Work around your monetary situation and move on with the love.

Remember you love is not one of your buddies.

This post is for the guys. As much as you want your special person in your life to be not only your love but your best friend you have to draw some lines. You cannot expect your love to act like one of your buddies during the football game. Don't expect them to enjoy the same rituals you do with the buds. Things like flatulence and belching are not the most fun things for you partner to do in public. Yes, everyone does them but not in the form of a contest or joke to play on each other.
