Pictures of the both of you.

The one thing I think all couples should do is get their picture taken together. I don't mean to go out and get a setting down with a professional photographer. I am talking about pictures of the two of you doing the thing in life that are fun to you. Vacations, cookouts, or just when you are being silly hand your camera over to someone and ask them to take your picture. These are the pictures you want to hang up around your house. These pictures so love and affection for each other and give you that feel good feeling you need as you glance at them. Plus viewing them makes you want to go out and have more fun together. Document your relationship and start taking pictures today.

No way Garage Selling is romantic!

Garage sales are one of the very last things I think about when I vision romance. Riffling through other peoples juke that they are selling for pennies doesn't even sound like fun to me. What however if you could make these garage sales pay for your date nights or vacations trips? Now they are starting to get a little more interesting. Think about it this way say the two of you start hitting a garage sale from time to time. You both look for things that you think are priced way to cheep maybe it's clothes or trinkets it doesn't matter. Look for things you can at least triple your money on. So if you buy it for a quarter you should be able to sell it for seventy-five cents. Once your bargain hunting starts to build and you get enough stuff for a sell of your own then have one. With all the money you are going to have you should be able to go out for a wonderful evening and if your really lucky use the money for a vacation. Make sure to keep track of how much you spend on all the items and price them accordingly so to not loose track of your goals. Heck you might even find out this can be a very profitable venture for the romance in your life.

Can driving home from vacation be romantic?

We have covered a couple of times how romantic drives can be, however this one is a little different. The drive home from vacation is usually filled with sleeping and worn out company. You desire is to get home and not to be living out of your car anymore for a while. How can we make this romantic? Well by talking about the adventures you just had. Start recounting all the things you did and the ones that you remember the most. Ask each family member what was their favorite part of vacation and what was their worst. Getting the conversation flowing will help pass the time on your boring drive home. Not to mention have you partner laughing and poking fun at the things you did while on vacation. Get your digital camera out and have the passengers check out the photos of your trip and talk about what they are seeing. Just make sure the driver keeps his/her eyes on the road.

Explore on Vacation.

When you are on vacation it is easy to try to find places that remind you of home. Maybe it is restaurants that you are familiar with or stores that you shop at home. My romantic suggestion however is to explore other avenues. Find little hole in the wall places to eat, local stores and local attractions that might be more for the people that live in the area. This is a great way to have fun as a couple and get to know the area better. We have found little parks, romantic places to watch the sunset, and great home cooked meals by doing this. However the best thing about it is getting to know someone that cares what you think. The teenager at McDonalds doesn't care about your trip or where you are from but the owner of a little dinner might even sit down with you to discuss it. These are the lasting memories you will have on vacation not the ones that remind you of home.

Dividing the Drive time.

When you are getting ready to take a long trip one thing I feel you need to do is divide the drive time up. Plan on certain places where you will stop and exchange drivers. This will give you both a little rest and relaxation so you will be fresh when you get to your destination. I also would suggest being good company when you are not the one driving. Unless you are driving through the night, keep you partner company as they drive. Good conversation is one of the best ways to make a long trip seem shorter. You might even find the time flying by as the miles pass as you talk them away. If you do need to rest then make sure you partner has the directions he/she needs and get them something to listen to on the radio before you doze off. These simple little things will make the task of driving to your fun destination as fun as it can be.

Summers here find some water.

It is almost summer and I hope that you are enjoying it so far. On thing that can make your summer time a little more romantic is to add some water to it. Thing about it all the best places on earth, in my opinion are surrounded by water. Hawaii, Tahiti, Jamaica, Key West, the list goes on and on. So for starters take a vacation to one of these hot spots. However if you a little short on cash for an amazing trip like that. Then you can add water to your relationship in others ways. Get a pool or some squirt guns any way you can get the cool refreshing feeling of water in your relationship. Not only will it cool you off but the wet look is sexy. Thing about your partner soaked to the bone, hair wet hanging in their face. Now you are starting to see how much romance a little water can add to your romantic summer. Plus drinking plenty of water is good for you. Anyway can add some water to your summer time fun and romance.

love like there is a tomorrow.

We always here that you should love like there is no tomorrow. However when you are early in a relationship that might be the case. In a new relationship you should love like you have a future together. Not so much as you start to scare the other person. For example don't talk about getting married on your first date! Do talk about the next date though to see how the other person feels. Say things like, "Well if we go out again I would like to take you (insert place here)" if you are greeted with a "That would be nice" then you chances are good for the second date. Especially in the early stages of a relationship make reference to the near future quite a bit. Talk about things you would like to do during the summer or on vacation, and include the person you are seeing in on those plans. The worst they can say is I can't do that or I won't have vacation time then. By using this technique this person will see that you can be a long term partner plus it also allows them to see that you are in this for a commitment so if they are not looking for this it is an easier time to get out. Yes as our relationships grow we want to live like there is no tomorrow but until we know we want to spend the rest of our life with that person take it a little slower.

Vacations

A important part of anyone's life is to put some vacation time into it. Time to not worry about work and concentrate on your relationship and your family. I like to look at this time as a reboot for the love. Getting away and experiencing new and exciting things gets you back in that mind set of when you were dating, only now you are sharing all the expense. Vacations can be relaxing, where you just sit by the pool and soak up the sun. They can also be invigorating where you experience as many new things as you can. You just have to find the right combination for the two of you. If you have children involved then you have to find the common denominator that makes everyone happy. Once you do this your vacation or reboot will keep you going until the next one. The last thing you want to do is let your vacation stress you, don't come home and need another vacation. Enjoy yourself and catch up with all the people that mean the most to your.

Hang some pictures of the two of you.

If you want to really show your mate you really care about them, an easy way to do it is to hang some pictures of the two of you up in your house. Pictures from your vacations, or from the holidays it doesn't matter. Get the pictures blown up to an acceptable size and position them around your house in areas that they mesh with. Vacation pictures or Holiday pictures can go in the living area while pictures of you in the rain might work well in the bathroom. Pictures of the two of you in restaurants might work well in the kitchen or dinning area. Save pictures of the two of you kissing or hugging for the bedroom. Keeping images of great times you have had in the past help to cement your relationship and give you a constant visual reminder of how much fun you have together. I would suggest getting pictures you have taken through the years instead of getting some professional ones done, the one you take seem to have a more personal feel. You might have to rely a little on others to take pictures of the two of you, but no matter where you are someone will always be their to lend a helping hand.

Wrap up a memory

The economy is hoping that you are going out and spending a bunch of money this Christmas, and yes that is the way to break out of a recession. However, a romantic thing to do for your partner is to give them something for Christmas that reminds them of a special time the two of you had together. Maybe it is a picture from you last vacation, or the baby booties of your first born child. Think back through out the year and try to remember anything monumental that happened to the two of you during that last year together. Firsts are always something to remember such as the first marathon you ran, your first house or even the first time you kissed. Now the job is to find something that you can wrap up that will take them back to that time. A picture of the event is a great way, go out a purchase a nice frame and place the picture inside it, the will immediately remember that event. Items from that event are another suggestion, say you had a child together during this year then the little beanie that they but on the baby in the hospital in a frame would be an extra special thing you could hang on your wall. You can pick up brochures from your last vacation destination, or programs from events you attended. If a special song was playing during your memory you could pick up that song for them. The important thing about wrapping up a memory is that it will get your partner thinking about the wonderful times the two of you have together.

Let the pictures tell the story

I say I am going to do this every time we go on a trip, and by golly next time I am.

Next time you take a trip somewhere together make sure to take your camera and take pictures of everything you do. With today's digital cameras it is even easier to do then ever. Then get an album and place the pictures in order based on how you did them. If you don't do it soon after you get home you will find yourself scratching your head and wondering which event goes where. Place silly captions under each photo and label the front of the album with a specific title, such as "Trip to Italy" Then when you pull the album out in about five years you will have no problem reliving that trip or event.

This may sound silly but as we age we don't always remember things exactly as they happened. So this method will help you and your partner remember all those special times you enjoyed together. With today's advances in technology you can even perform this while you are still on vacation. You can email the photo to your house with labels already attached. If you take a laptop you can even work on the photo album while you are relaxing by the pool. So don't be like me there is no reason or excuse for not getting these memories recorded on your next trip or event.

Recreating Dates

Do you have a special date that you still remember - one that stands out from most of the rest of your dates? Well, I think it is time to recreate that date. Sit down and write all the things you can remember about that special date. It might be the date your partner asked you to marry him/her or your first date. It doesn't matter. Try to remember the little things such as what songs did you hear, who did you see, were there any other people with you. Obviously, the big ones will be where did you go or at what restaurant did you eat. Sit down with all your information and start to put the events in order to the best of your recollection. You might have some challenges. It may be that the place you went for dinner is now out of business or the bar you went to is now a Starbucks. If some of these changes make it impossible to recreate the exact date, then use a substitute. If the dinner was at a pizza joint that is no longer around, just substitute another pizza place. You might want to scope out some places to find the one that most reminds you of the one from the past. Once you have all of your pieces together and places picked out it's time to ask your special someone out. Ask him/her if he/she remembers the date where you two did this and that. If he/she doesn't, don’t worry. Just tell him/her it is a date you remember, and hopefully, it will jog his/her memory once it begins. On the night of your date actually pick him/her up. You get ready first and then go drive around or something until the correct time to pick him/her up. It sounds kind of corny, but do you remember the butterflies in your stomach standing on the porch knocking on the door. Once he/she answers the door you are now back in time and on that date all over again. Enjoy it for the second time. I know some couples that have been doing this for a long time.

One that I know goes to the same restaurant, where he purposed to her, on their anniversary every year. I also know a couple that met at a concert, and whenever that band is anywhere in the area they make sure to go see them (It's great that they let some of the bands out of the old folks home long enough to put on a show or two). I have also heard of people going to sporting events to recreate dates, parks, doing the same vacations, the list goes on and on. I actually have some friends that go to the same hotel every year and even get the same room, they book it a year in advance before they check out.

This might all sound silly to some of you, but remembering your past good feelings never hurts a relationship, and this is a great way to rekindle anything you might have lost since that special date.
