Get up early

We all claim that there is not enough time in the day to get things done and have time for our relationships. Well you can help that out by getting up a little earlier on the weekend days. Sneak out of bed early and start getting things done so that you will have time later for your partner. Laundry, dishes, and cleaning can get done at anytime of the day so why not make it in the morning and get them out of the way. Nothing says you care more then going out of your way to make more time for you partner. Love is the most important thing to make time for, that is a wonderful rule to follow.

Invite the family over.

Want to make a splash with your partner then invite their family over. Plan a big get together with food and excitement. If you think his/her family would participate then get some games to play together. If games won't do it then you might think about planning the get together to watch the big football game or the latest movie out you can rent. Have lots of fingers foods to munch on and plenty of pop and tea. If you are going to serve alcohol then make sure you are ready to make sure the drinkers are not driving and to let anyone know when they have had to much. Alcohol can loosen up the party but it can also cause problems. I would suggest leaving the alcohol out until you find our more about the family. Set a time for the party to be over so that everyone knows when it is time to go. Don't leave it open or you might be having a crazy brother that won't leave. This family invite over will score you big points with your partner and help you to get to know his/her family better.

Explore on Vacation.

When you are on vacation it is easy to try to find places that remind you of home. Maybe it is restaurants that you are familiar with or stores that you shop at home. My romantic suggestion however is to explore other avenues. Find little hole in the wall places to eat, local stores and local attractions that might be more for the people that live in the area. This is a great way to have fun as a couple and get to know the area better. We have found little parks, romantic places to watch the sunset, and great home cooked meals by doing this. However the best thing about it is getting to know someone that cares what you think. The teenager at McDonalds doesn't care about your trip or where you are from but the owner of a little dinner might even sit down with you to discuss it. These are the lasting memories you will have on vacation not the ones that remind you of home.

Like the old song "You can always get what you wanted, but you get what you need"

In a romantic relationship you have to be able to give and take. Sometimes it doesn't work out in your favor. That is when you have to step back and look at what you really need in a relationship. Pick and choose the things that are important to you and communicate that with your partner. Once they understand the way your desires and wants work you might find it a little easier to give up those things that don't mean that much to you. Say for instance, shopping with the girls, or poker night with the guys, which are all great activities but when you get into a relationship you might not be able to do them as much as you like. Like the Rolling Stones sang "You can't always get what you want, but you get what you need" So take stock in the things you need and understand the things you want will be there when they can be.

Labor Day Weekend

Make a special weekend for your sweety. Most people have a little extra time off during this holiday so make some plans to get out and enjoy something you haven't done as of yet. Something like a get away would be very romantic. Hope in the care and go visit some friends or get a hotel with a pool and spend the day swimming and enjoying time together. You could also just go spend the day at one of your local state parks. The only thing is you should make a a little distance from your home. Don't go somewhere you can go any weekend. Pick a place that is a little farther drive that you wouldn't thing about during a normal weekend. Enjoy the drive get you some good music the two of you can sing to and if you have a convertible drop the top and roll out. Just be free spirits for the weekend. If you don't have much money find things to do that involve sightseeing, they are usually free or cost very little. Make it memorable and take lots of pictures. Enjoy your weekend.
