Experience a new town.

Want to go on a romantic adventure? Well if your funds are limited like most people today, why not just go someplace that you have never been. Pick a near by town you have never been to maybe they might be having a festival or a special event going on that you can check out. You don't have to have an agenda. Just go explore the town, walk around downtown and experience how the community works. Find the local hot spots and pick a local restaurant for lunch to get a better feel for the town. Take your time and spend a good portion of the day taking in the sights, finding parks or trails, take in all you can and bank it for future references. Who knows you might find a place that you would like to move to at a future time. Make sure to take your camera and document your findings, heck make a scrap book of your adventures.

Labor Day Weekend

Make a special weekend for your sweety. Most people have a little extra time off during this holiday so make some plans to get out and enjoy something you haven't done as of yet. Something like a get away would be very romantic. Hope in the care and go visit some friends or get a hotel with a pool and spend the day swimming and enjoying time together. You could also just go spend the day at one of your local state parks. The only thing is you should make a a little distance from your home. Don't go somewhere you can go any weekend. Pick a place that is a little farther drive that you wouldn't thing about during a normal weekend. Enjoy the drive get you some good music the two of you can sing to and if you have a convertible drop the top and roll out. Just be free spirits for the weekend. If you don't have much money find things to do that involve sightseeing, they are usually free or cost very little. Make it memorable and take lots of pictures. Enjoy your weekend.

Take in some sights.

When you are looking for something romantic to do and are short on funds you have to get a little creative. Something I find very romantic and extremely cheap is to just take a walking tour of a larger city. Most everyone lives within driving distance to a larger city if you don't live within one. Do a little research on some of the amazing architecture in this city and make a walking tour of these amazing buildings. You might just be amazed at how much great scenery is within the asphalt jungle of a larger city. In Chicago I know that you can view artwork just walking around downtown, not to mention Millennium Park that has several exciting attractions to watch and enjoy. Larger cities seem to try to entertain people more with their buildings and parks, so why not enjoy them. I don't think anyone would mind watching the sunset at Navy Pier or viewing some great artwork on a hand in hand walk. You just might find you will get addicted to sight seeing. Remember it doesn't cost to look and a picture is worth a thousand word, so those two things combined sound like a win win situation for your relationship.
