Quite eating fast food and save the money for date nights.

Here in America most of us eat way to much fast food. It is easy and it tastes good but the terrible part is that it is expensive and is not at all healthy. Why don't the two of you as a couple make an effort to avoid it altogether. Make a commitment that when every you feel like grabbing a burger the both of you remain strong and make a grilled cheese or turkey sandwich at home. Then the money you would have spent eating something bad for you and put it in a jar marked, "Date Night" Continue doing this until you have enough in the jar to experience your favorite activity together. Heck you could even save for a trip if you are strong enough. Make a penalty also so that if you do go out and eat fast food you have to replace the money you spend from your jar. You will soon start thinking about just grabbing fast food all together. Not only will your body thank you but your can both thank each other when you are sitting on the beach somewhere special.

Play the Newlywed Game

Do you remember the old game show the Newlywed Game? If not the premise of the show was to see how much each couple new about each other. They were awarded point for each right answer and then the couple with the most points won, usually a trip somewhere. Now I am sure you cannot offer yourself a trip but it is fun to see how much you know about each other. Sit down sometime and write out questions to ask your partner. Have you partner do the same then exchange the papers and write down your answers to each question. Then together go over each question and see if your partner can pick which answer to gave. Make the question multiple choice to see if your thoughts are lining up. Have some good laughs and learn about your partner who knows maybe one day these will actually help you win a trip.

Sample Question Might be :
Which superhero does your partner remind you of, A-Superman, B-Batman, or C-Super Chicken

Actually there are several versions of the newlywed game you can click on our amazon sidebar and pick up a copy if you don't want to write out your own questions.

Maybe wine isn't your thing but you can go on a beer tasting.

Wine is a wonderful thing to share between the two of you but if you taste are a little more hometown you might trade in your wine tasting for beer tasting. There are a vast number of small brew pubs across the country that offer their own special blend of ale. Almost any larger city will have at least one brew pub where you can eat and sample their beers. They are quaint and fun to seek out. When ever just me and my partner go somewhere we try to check out at least on of these specialty breweries. The first one we ever experienced was the Smokey Mountain Brewery in Gatlinburg, TN. I have become a big fan of trying different beers around the country and I am anxious to one day try out beers from overseas. In parting make sure to drink responsibly and don't drive if you had to many of these wonderful beers.

Bring some home when going on a trip

We have a special little trick we use when we go on a trip. We never can seem to get a comfortable bed like our one at home when we get a hotel room. The pillows are always thin and have no substance to them. There is no chance of getting a good night sleep in a strange bed with pillows that you could slid in a pizza box. What we do is bring a little home with us. No we can't bring our bed but we can bring our pillows. The pillows help make us feel like we are in our own bed even if the bed isn't ours. They smell like our house, we get the same neck support and they are easy to pack. Yes pillows are easy to pack all you have to do is have a vacuum and you can fit your pillow into your suitcase. Get a bag or one of those new air removing devices and you will have your pillow flat as a pancake to pack. Then just open the bag and let the air in and your pillow springs back to life. In this manner you can make the sleeping part of your trip a little more romantic and a lot less uncomfortable.

Great Christmas Ideas - Get something you can share.

When you go and pick out a present for you lover you try to find something that they will love and use. Have you ever thought about getting something for the two of you to share? Things such as a wonderful bottle of wine, a romantic movie, or tickets to an event are ones that come to mind. It might sound a little selfish but by doing this you insure that the two of you will spend some quality time together. Put a little note in the present that makes sure that your partner is to enjoy this will you. Other items that might fit the bill of presents you can share would be sex toys, gift cards for your favorite restaurant, trips, or even items to make a scrapbook. Once you find the perfect gift to share sit back and enjoy the extra time the two of you will get to spend together using or attending this present.

Give a late night call.

Have you ever laid awake thinking about the person you love. Well next time you are sitting their wondering about them, give them a little call. Pick up your phone call them and tell them you were thinking about them and just wanted to call and say Hi. Don't do this if you know they have to get up early the next day. Most likely they will feel great that you called and a smile will grace their face. This works great if you are on a business trip or away from home for a long period of time. Springing a call on a person at the spur of the moment tells them you really care and makes them realize that your mind is on them. You can even do this when you are in the same house if one of you stays up later then the other pick up your phone and call them just to tell them you love them. You will most likely get extra snuggles once you get into bed with them. Don't keep them on the phone long let them get back to sleep and there is a good chance they will dream about you.

Brown Bag it!

There is no doubt in this time that finances are tough. We all need to squeeze as much as we can out of our fund. One thing that can save you a lot of money is to brown bag it or take your lunch to work. You might be thinking at this point, "How is taking your lunch to work, romantic?" Well it's not but wouldn't you rather use that cash to take your partner to dinner or to buy them a great present? Let your partner know that you are trying to save up for a trip or something special for the two of you and I am sure they will help you pack your lunch a time or two. Depending on where you live not purchasing lunch out could save you as much as seven or eight dollars a day. Start adding that up and see how quickly you might get to the cruise. Another benefit is that you can eat a little more healthy and not as much. Not only are you saving for something special for you and your sweety but you are also improving your health and possibly losing some weight. Now when people make fun of you at work and ask if you mom packed your lunch, don't get mad, just think of them when you are enjoying your reward.
