When is the last time you really checked to see how much your partner does for you!

As in most relationships, we tend to expect the normal routine from our partner. If they do the laundry we expect that they will do it all the time, if they make dinner we are at the table with silverware in hand ready to eat. The only time we acknowledge our partner in this regard is when they don't help out in the normal way. Then our reaction is usually one of anger accompanied by yelling or unkind words. Are you one of those people that expect your partner to do things, how often do you thank them for the things they do to help out your relationship or family. I am sure that most of us can do a better job in the appreciation category. There are many ways to thank your mate for the things they do and they can be very simple. Things like do you wait on them to sit down before you start eating dinner, or saying, "Wow, the house looks great you must have spend hours cleaning it", or you can even just kiss them and say that is for the clean socks honey. Mix it up a little and go over the top from time to time to show them that you really do appreciate it. Do things like while eating a wonderful dinner they made slip them a note that says "This dinner is so good, I think I will make hot passionate love to you later tonight as a tip" or maybe after doing gardening or yard work you can get them in a shower and wash their hair for them. Showing appreciation is a lot form of art in relationships today and it is up to us to help bring it back to the forefront. Next time your partner takes care of the kids so you can nap, offer to give them a massage later in return, or if they have to miss work to take care of your sick child tell them to call up some friends and have a lunch date this weekend. Relationships are about helping each other out, not helping ourselves. Love is a powerful tool if used correctly, and appreciation in part of that power.

Two things that go hand in hand are the Super Bowl and some great food. Everyone that prepares food for a Super Bowl party has a special dish that they like to make. Today is the day to show off your skills to your sweetheart. Don't just pick an easy dish to make, like nachos or hot dogs. Pick something out of the ordinary, today for instance I am making my special Stromboli with pie crusts and filled with sausage, sauce and cheese. This will most certainly impress your partner and show them that you have many talents besides being a great partner. One thing you want to make sure of is that you plan out your meal so that you won't be cooking during the game. You want the food to be ready for the two of you to enjoy during the game without missing a minute of the game. Today is also the day that the most junk is ate, so break that tradition and find healthy alternatives to snack and eat on. Remember the Super Bowl is like Christmas it only comes around once a year. Make the most of it and make it a event to remember.

What ice cream flavor are you?

I use to think that when you determined what type of ice cream you liked you had 2 choices, chocolate and vanilla. Just like a relationship that is wrong there are so many other choices and flavors to choose from. What flavor does your partner like, forget the boring plain ice creams of the past start finding ones from today. Ben and Jerry's has a unlimited supply of flavors with cool names that can be a special treat for your partner and you. Education is Sexy

Here I am in my late early 40's wondering why I didn't get more education when I was younger. As I sit here considering going back to take some classes on computer programming, I am realizing that education is sexy. Learning new things is never a bad thing to do, even if you don't feel like doing the classroom thing. Think about it how wonderful it could be learning new things with the person you love. Maybe a cooking class or photography anything that would strike your fancy and hold both of your interests, would also give you more things to converse about. How many times have the two of you been talking and wondered about something that neither one of you could answer. In this day and age all you have to do is venture over to your computer and with a little help from google you have your answer. Presto you have just learned something new even if it is trivial you still found something out together. In my opinion you should never stop trying to learn something new, when you do that is when you get old.

Valentines Day fun!

Okay today I am going to tell you a fun little game to play with your partner on Valentine's Day. We call this one search for my heart. What you do is get some construction paper and cut it out into hearts. Next you need to plan out several area's of your house where you can hide clues. Places like the refrigerator, dryer, or underwear drawer for examples. Next you put clues on the hearts you cut out of the construction paper. You can make them as hard or easy as you like one example might be if you are going to hide one in the dryer you might write on the heart, "If I wanted you to tumble my underwear it might be in here" Lead the person all around your house with these clues then with a red washable marker draw a little heart on your body that is the x that marks the spot. If you want to be intimate you might put the heart near you genitals or if you can just put the heart on your chest. To start the hunt out give your partner a card with the first clue inside. You could also purchase several little presents and put one at each clue to add a little more excitement to the game. You could plan your evening out this way, get a coupon for your favorite restaurant, followed by a ticket to a romantic movie, then a bottle of wine, ending with a pair of sexy underwear. I think they will get the idea!!!
