Get out of your comfort zone.

We all have our normal routine that we go through day in and day out. We do the same things enjoy the same hobbies over and over. Why, because they are comfortable to us, we know we like them and it is easy to pick something to do when we know we like it. Well in the business of romance we need to think a little differently, because different is romantic. Get out of the comfort zone and pick something a little different to try on a date, just for fun or when you need a boost spicing up your life. We recently discovered geocaching and at first we felt really silly looking around place for little hidden boxes, but know we love it. Our next adventure is going to be laughter yoga, and I want to try going on a volunteer vacation. These thing are not our normal thing but who knows just like our geocaching they might become our normal thing as we get into it. To me romance it experiencing things with the person you love, and the more you experience the more memories you make but the more romance you have.

Surprise Haircut!

Today I am going to get my haircut. This might not seem romantic but I am going to do something different and my partner will not see me until it is done and over with. It is a little exciting for me to do something drastically different. I know that when my partner comes home with a different hairstyle I find myself wanting to get to know her all over again. On the outside she looks like a different person, and I wonder what sparked the change. I think it adds spice to you relationship and mixes things up a bit. Nothing wrong with that, how many people have you known that still have the same hairstyle from when they were in high school! For us guys it's a little different their are not that many hairstyles out there. One thing my wife doesn't have to worry about is me having the same hairstyle from high school. Why? because I had a mullet.

It's okay to be selfish every once in a while.

Being selfish is not the quality that everyone wants to have associated with their name. However, every once in a while it is okay be be the selfish one. Now we are not talking about all give and no take but we are saying that it is okay to speak your desires. Tell you partner what you want be it a certain supper or an activity in bed that you want to perform with them. Be confident and express you desires. By doing this you will seem a little selfish but you will also get your point across and maybe you might get what you want. Be careful with you selfishness it can be a very bad thing if used way to often so use this power very sparingly.

Random acts of Couples Kindness

Most of you have probably heard of Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). Why not put some RAK into our relationships. You can do the normal simple things like bringing home flowers or kissing at special times. However, I want you to think a little outside the box and see what happens. Here is one I like to do. You know how good it makes you feel when you find money in your pockets you didn't know was there. Well use that for you RAK find our what your partner is going to wear that day and while they are in the shower or eating breakfast slip a five or ten in the pocket of those clothes. Watch their reaction as they find it, you have just started their day in a good way. Another great thing to do is take their car and get it washed or fill it up with gas, without them knowing. Whatever you do don't let them know and plead the 5th when they question you about it.

Coin Collection

Want to do something that doesn't seem romantic but when you partner finds out about it will make them swell up? Start a romantic coin collection. Save coins from the change of special events you go to. Things like movies you attend or romantic dinners you have together. After you pay for what ever it is save the smallest coin from that change and hold on to it. When you get home tape it to a index card and write down on the card what event it was from. Start this as soon as possible in your relationship but don't let you partner see until well into the relationship. After you have been together for a while pulling out a card with the change on it from your first date would be pretty impressive. You can also write your feelings on the card about the event or even put down little trivia things like what she was wearing, what songs you heard, or milestones in your relationship, such as first touch, first kiss, etc. Not only will this seem romantic but it will make it easy to remember all those wonderful times you had together. Just keep it going all through your relationship and you will have the best coin collection ever.

Ladies give in a do some guy things!

Ladies want to do something romantic for you partner? Try doing some quote guy things with him. I know in this day and age that sounds a little out of place. There are however things that men seem to prefer on average than women. On of the biggest ones is sports. Try to enjoy a game with him be it at home or if you can secure tickets to a game even better. Make it a date but use it more as a friendship building activity. Cheer, laugh and have a good time weather you are at home or at the game try to get into it. Ask him questions to try to understand the game if you don't but not to many questions as you don't want to turn in into a class. What if you guy doesn't like sports? Well then watch and see what activities he enjoys with his friends and ask him sometime to let you enjoy it with him. Maybe he like photography, if so go with him and let him show you how to take wonderful pictures. No matter what things he likes to do try it out it doesn't mean you have to do it all the time with him but make the effort to understand it. When we think about romance we most often think of kissing and dating. Finding common interests is a very romantic and can build a relationship or make it stronger in a hurray.
