Make special scents around the house.

We all know how wonderful smell can be. They can take us back to our childhood or remind us of wonderful times that we have had. Scents can take us to specific times like Christmas or vacations past. Why not put the amazing power into your romance. Go to the store and find the aisle with the scented plug devices in it and start browsing. Look for scents that might remind your lover of past experiences. Like if you have been to Hawaii or just desire to go then pick up some coconut or pineapple scents. Want to make it feel a little more like Christmas time then maybe some pine scent or sugar cookie scent will take you there. Surprise you partner and put the device in when they won't be home for a while. Upon return watch their face as the pick up the scent. You might be able to take away a little of their daily stress by taking them away with these triggers.

Find a scent your partner enjoys!

There are thousands of perfumes and colognes out on the market today. However not all them appeal to everyone. What you might really like the smell of your partner might find annoying to the senses. When you put on your perfume/cologne you want your partner to notice in a good way. This can be a daunting task if you use the trial and error method not to mention expensive. My suggestion is the next time they two of you are out together take a few moments to visit the perfume/cologne shop. Most of your malls will have a store dedicated to making you smell good and they usually have samplers available for you to try out before you purchase. This way you can see what you partner enjoys and if your lucky you might find one that turns them on. The most important thing to look for is something that is pleasant for them to smell but also pick the one that turns them on for those nights of passion. Our sense of smell is one of the last things we plan for in our love life but it might just be the first one that hits us. Scents can set the mood for many things so don't over look it.

Peppermint Candy Canes and Kisses.

With this time of year it is a good idea to always be ready for a kiss. The last thing you want is stinky breath when that lovely person comes up to kiss you. During this time of year it is easy to keep your breath fresh and inviting for that special someone. Keep several of the smaller candy canes with you and pop one in your mouth from time to time. Not only will they keep your breath from getting stinky but they give a little tingle to your kisses. This way you become even sweeter to kiss for you partner. Go a couple of steps farther and pick up some peppermint body lotion so that whenever your partner is near you they can help but smell your inviting scent. Can you almost smell the peppermint right now!

Drive them wild with their favorite.

Want to really drive the person you care about wild. First thing you need to do is find a cologne or perfume that they absolutely love. Then when ever you are with them put a little on. Sure when you are going out together they will expect it but do it other times when they least expect it. Like right before getting into bed, or before you start watching a movie at home together. Don't over due it, just a little will do the trick. Put some on when you know the two of you are going to be close, like when the two of your are doing the laundry or doing other house work together. Another romantic thing to do is put a dab on their pillow when they are going to go to bed before you. They might not be able to sleep and will for some reason keep thinking of you. Put a little hint of the smell in their car before they leave for work or better yet do it while they are at work then they will smell your scent all the way home. The important thing here is to get them thinking about you and letting them know that you are thinking about them. If you try any of these suggestions let me know how they work out. I would love to hear your stories, email them to me a thecouplesspot@gmail.com

Make your kisses refreshing!

The thing people complain most about with kissing is bad breath. They say it is one of the biggest turn offs when kissing someone, even somebody they have been in a relationship with for a long time. Well it is an easy fix to correct this and with a little practice you won't have to worry about it ever again. There are several things on the market to help you in your quest for kissable breath. Items such as gum, breath mints, mouthwash, and the list goes on and on. Now all you have to do is pick which one of them you prefer and decide which one works the best. Don't forget to pick a flavor your partner enjoys also. Spearmint gum is one of my favorites, with cinnamon a close second. You have a great deal of flavors to choose from and for added effects I suggest picking a different one as many times as you can. Let your partner wonder what kind of kiss they will be getting today, it might just make them kiss you more often. While brushing your teeth is the best defense against bad breath, these other items will help when you can whip out your toothbrush and start cleaning. This can even be more exciting if your going for a little more passionate kissing. Flavors such as cinnamon, and wintergreen can give a little tingle if you happen to use your tongue as well. With all this said make sure to have these items on you all the time because at any given time your lips might be called to duty and you don't what nasty breath to slow things down.

Hear what our viewers feel is the most romantic scent.

Our readers input has given us what they feel is the most romantic scents. Ocean air and vanilla top our viewers lists, while Coconut and Floral scents came in at a tie for second. Pure and simple fresh air took third spot, making it seem to me that the simple smell of air is a very romantic scent. I must admit that the smell of the beach on vacation is a great memory for me. Which makes me wonder if the scents we like are tied to memories that we have had during our lifetime. Maybe you tie that scent with something you felt was wonderful and thusly want to smell it when you want to be romantic. What ever the case scents can definitely improve your romance and you life in general.

Car Scents

Want to impress you date, partner, lover, etc. Scents make for a powerful memory and they can set a mood from the first whiff. Why not put that powerful attack on their senses out right from the start. Go out to your local discount store and pick out a car air freshener that has a light yet definite scent. Now lets go over some details. First of all you don't want one of those green trees hanging from you mirror, that would look dorky plus your partner will notice right away where the scent is coming from. These mirror hangers tell your partner that you just threw the freshener up in a couple of minutes. I suggest hiding them under the seat this makes them wonder did you spend the whole day cleaning out your car to pick them up in. Another thing you need to consider that most of these air fresheners are pretty strong at first. I would suggest letting them air out a little before you put them in your car. Let them sit outside for a day then put them in your car. The last thing you want to do is have your partner get a terrible headache from the smell that is way to strong. Make sure you pick a scent that matches you. Don't get a floral scent it you are a macho guy and don't get a leather smell if you are a delicate lady. You can create a feeling for the whole date in just the first few seconds with the smell you choose.

Making Sense of Scents

Do you have special scents that remind you of specific times or places in your life? I know several that stick out in my mind. The smell of the ocean, fresh pineapple in Hawaii, the perfume my wife wears, or the smell of our freshly changed sheets, all remind me of special times. Now how do you incorporate that feeling into being romantic. Simple, you just find out what smells are triggers for you partner and do a little searching on the Internet for candles with that scent and bingo, bango, bongo, your romantic. Imagine your partner coming home to a house that smells like the ocean on your last vacation. What about pumpkin pie smell in the fall or pine tree around Christmas time. If you click on the title of this post you will be directed to the Candle-Licious web site where they have several scents to choose from.

Don't go for the normal scents try to find something that is specific to your relationship. Maybe your partner likes the smell of leather well Candle-Licious has that scent in their catalog. Put some time into finding the right scent and set the mood for the two of you to remember things from your past.
