Romantic ways to put on chap stick.

The other day we were out in the sun most of the day and our lips as well as the rest of us were dry from the sun. We went to the store and picked up some chap stick to help protect our lips. My partner put it on first then didn't pass it over to me. Curiously, I said, "Do I get any chap stick?" I then got the best romantic reply ever. I hear the word, "Sure" and then she applies more chap stick to her lip and leans over and kisses me hard. Rubbing her lips around mine smearing the chap stick over my lips. Pulling back from me, she said, "There how is that" All I good do was say, "Good"

Can driving home from vacation be romantic?

We have covered a couple of times how romantic drives can be, however this one is a little different. The drive home from vacation is usually filled with sleeping and worn out company. You desire is to get home and not to be living out of your car anymore for a while. How can we make this romantic? Well by talking about the adventures you just had. Start recounting all the things you did and the ones that you remember the most. Ask each family member what was their favorite part of vacation and what was their worst. Getting the conversation flowing will help pass the time on your boring drive home. Not to mention have you partner laughing and poking fun at the things you did while on vacation. Get your digital camera out and have the passengers check out the photos of your trip and talk about what they are seeing. Just make sure the driver keeps his/her eyes on the road.

Maybe wine isn't your thing but you can go on a beer tasting.

Wine is a wonderful thing to share between the two of you but if you taste are a little more hometown you might trade in your wine tasting for beer tasting. There are a vast number of small brew pubs across the country that offer their own special blend of ale. Almost any larger city will have at least one brew pub where you can eat and sample their beers. They are quaint and fun to seek out. When ever just me and my partner go somewhere we try to check out at least on of these specialty breweries. The first one we ever experienced was the Smokey Mountain Brewery in Gatlinburg, TN. I have become a big fan of trying different beers around the country and I am anxious to one day try out beers from overseas. In parting make sure to drink responsibly and don't drive if you had to many of these wonderful beers.

Explore on Vacation.

When you are on vacation it is easy to try to find places that remind you of home. Maybe it is restaurants that you are familiar with or stores that you shop at home. My romantic suggestion however is to explore other avenues. Find little hole in the wall places to eat, local stores and local attractions that might be more for the people that live in the area. This is a great way to have fun as a couple and get to know the area better. We have found little parks, romantic places to watch the sunset, and great home cooked meals by doing this. However the best thing about it is getting to know someone that cares what you think. The teenager at McDonalds doesn't care about your trip or where you are from but the owner of a little dinner might even sit down with you to discuss it. These are the lasting memories you will have on vacation not the ones that remind you of home.

Dividing the Drive time.

When you are getting ready to take a long trip one thing I feel you need to do is divide the drive time up. Plan on certain places where you will stop and exchange drivers. This will give you both a little rest and relaxation so you will be fresh when you get to your destination. I also would suggest being good company when you are not the one driving. Unless you are driving through the night, keep you partner company as they drive. Good conversation is one of the best ways to make a long trip seem shorter. You might even find the time flying by as the miles pass as you talk them away. If you do need to rest then make sure you partner has the directions he/she needs and get them something to listen to on the radio before you doze off. These simple little things will make the task of driving to your fun destination as fun as it can be.

Romance doesn't have a specific time.

When we think of romance we usually think about it being in the evening. Going out to dinner, movies, moon lit walks figure into the romance equation the most. However romance should be a all day occurrence. It should start the moment you get up. The way you greet your partner in the morning should be one that says I am glad to see you. Playful touches throughout the day are excellent ways to build romance. Kissing I feel is an overlook area that can be romantic all day. Plan romantic adventures starting in the morning. Get up and go biking together or have breakfast on the porch. These little things can make your life hit the romance jackpot. Never forget romance doesn't just happen, you get out of it what you put into it. So, don't just wait around and hope romance finds you give your partner a reason to be romantic, back.

Great questions make a great night.

If you need something fun to do on a boring day then you can always just fire questions back and forth. Just ask "What's your favorite movie?" or "Who influenced your life the most?" Take turns bouncing questions off of each other and you might just find that time will fly. The last time we did this is was 2 hours before we realized what fun we were having. There are plenty of game out there that can help you on this quest but if you are short on funds you can make up your own. Using a game help in the fact that you both get questions you were not expecting. Next time you have nothing to do, pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy answering each others questions.
