Movie Night

We all know how expensive going to the movies are, yet we have engrained in our memory that going to the movies is an excellent date. What do you do when you don't have thirty or forty buck to plop down for two tickets and popcorn and drinks? Well you turn you living room into a movie theater. Go out and rent a movie for about five bucks and then turn the seats in your living room towards the television. Purchase some snacks and drinks at your local discount store and then invite you date to an evening at the movies. You can make a ticket to give them if you really want the great effect. Not only can you do this for less than half the cost but you can also get a little privacy. This way if you want to make out during the movie you don't have to worry about people watching the two of you make out. By turning out the lights and facing the television you will have the exact feel you do in the movies and if you have surround sound well then it might even be a little better. You can also pause the movie for when you have to go to the bathroom or get some more snacks. So make tonight a night of going in to the movies.

Another Great Romantic Movie

Adding another great romantic movie to your collection is a great idea. One of my favorites (as always with a little comedy) is "50 first dates". Staring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore it is a story about a young lady that loses her memory everyday so the suitor Adam Sandler has to get her to fall in love with him each and every day. It is a hilarious romp through some beautiful scenery. Don't miss this one it will make you laugh and cry and then laugh some more.

Hanging out at home!

During this time of economic turmoil, more and more people are having to rethink what they do for dates and recreation. Remember when you were teenagers and you would just hang out at someones house! You would pick someone who's parents weren't home and just lay around watching television and acting stupid. Well why not bring back the feeling. You can save a lot of money by doing this. You could rent some movies, purchase some snacks and bring home some booze. All of the things you might do on a night out. Invite some friends over and have a little movie party or play a board game together. Just spend the evening hanging out having a few drinks and getting into some great conversations.

Maybe you want the evening to just be the two of you. Again just like when you were teenagers you can spend the night making out or watching a movie, or both. I love just sitting and debating things with my partner. I feel it brings us closer even if we disagree on things. Now think of all the money you will be saving and you still get all the things you would on a date. Good conversation, fun, entertainment, and maybe even sex, for a fraction of the cost of the traditional date.

The Classic Movie Moves!!!!

Hey next time you are at the movies take some time to make those classic moves your learned in junior high school. Do the stretch and put the arm around your date, or slowly move your hand onto his knee. If something happens that startles you in the movie, jump into your partners arms. Simply touch their skin rub it gently and stroke the inside of their forearm. Hold hands , share drinks and popcorn make it seem like one of your first dates. If you both feel a little adventurous, sit in the back and make out if no one else is in the theater. You can purposely pick a movie that is old or not a big draw to try and get the theater to yourself. Feed each other popcorn and talk through the movie. Make comments to each other during the show and laugh. Some people might shhhs you but that's okay just try to be a little more quite. Leave the movie hand in hand and when you get home stand outside your door and kiss. Even if it is both of your house it still feels like a good night kiss.

Give in a little.

We all love to get our way, however sometimes it is more romantic to give in a little. Now I am not talking about letting someone run over you. I am talking about a simple surrender to make your partner feel special. Maybe it is letting them have the pick of which movie you watch tonight, even though you know the one they will pick will just make you vomit. Maybe you can't decide on which restaurant to eat at. You can suck it up and go with their choice. Giving in a little is great for you relationship, it shows you are committed to working thinks out. You can use this in many ways and you can use it in the bedroom also. Maybe your partner wants you to try a different position, what the heck let it go and give it a try. If it doesn't work at least you can get it out of their mind. Relationships are tricky and sometimes you can't get everything you want. So give in a little and hopefully your partner will return the favor and give in to you, at times.

A great romantic movie neither of you will mind watching.

Anyone that knows me personaly knows I am a huge Adam Sandler fan. So this post was a pure joy for me to put together.

If you want to find a romantic movie that both of you will find entertaining. You need to go no further then Adam Sandler to achieve this goal. I must say that in my opinion the best of the best romanctic comedys is The Wedding Singer. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are star crossed lovers who are bound to end up together. This takes them almost the whole movie the the comedy helps keep everyone interested, until they finally figure out they are ment to be together, with the help of another of my favorites, Mr. Billy Idol. If you love 80's music this is a great soundtrack for you to have also, and the movie will bring back all the fashions that we want to forget from that time period. The point is the movie will make you glad your in love and watching it with your special someone.

Listed below are a few other of Adam Sandler movies that I think are great romantic comedy's also. Adam plays the loveable loser so well in these films you have to hope he gets the girl. So get some popcorn and cozy place to snuggle and enjoy the master at work.

Great Romantic Comedy's featuring Adam Sandler.

1. The Wedding Singer

2. 50 First Dates

3. Spanglish

4. Billy Madison

5. Click

6. Mr. Deeds

7. Anger Management

8. Little Nikki

9. Waterboy

10. Happy Gilmore (Only Adam can put the song Endless Love in a movie)

Make a Movie Theater at Home!

Today life is so fast-paced that we seldom have time to take our sweetie to the movies. Either the times don't work out right or we don't have the hundreds of dollars it will take to purchase a ticket and snacks - Last time I went it was under a hundred, but let’s just use that as a general feeling. Nowadays, you can rent a movie not long after it has been in the theaters, and we have recently been downloading them from iTunes. I believe Netflicks has the downloading available also. It doesn't take much for us to get a movie and watch it on our time. We can pause it or stop it when we have things that arise like bathroom breaks or putting kids to sleep. But, just because we can’t find the time to attend the show at the theater doesn't mean we have to lose the ambiance.

Next time you get a movie to watch at home take some time and set up your own little theater in the family room. Move the couch around to sit right in front of the television. Make a trip to the local discount store and pick up all the snacks you would get at your local movie theater. They are much cheaper this way, and you usually get more for your money. Microwave some popcorn. You can even get some of those super humongous cups to get the real movie theater feel. Turn off all the lights in the house, and presto you have your own movie theater. You can even watch the previews at the start of the disc if you want to get a more authentic feeling. iTunes even carries trailers of movies that are not out in theaters yet.

Most movies have ratings like PG-13 or R. You need to decide what your theater rating will be! If you’re doing this with your children, you can use a G rating. Use pretend money and make tickets. The kids can use it to “purchase” their snacks and tickets. This is a good way to make sure they don't over do it on the snacks. Only give them enough play money to purchase a set amount of candy. If you want your theater to have a PG-13 rating you could invite all your teenage children’s friends over for a showing. Just get some extra folding chairs and presto you can create a teenager’s dream - all of their friends at the movies together. The R rated theater is probably just for the two of you (just depends on what you allow you kids to watch). Since the kids are probably in bed and no one else is in the theater let the make out session begin. Heck, if you know you won't have any interruptions, you can even slip into the X rating.

Today is Favorite Lists Day

Today is favorite lists day. Huh? Yes today I want you to spend some time with your partner and find out their favorites. Start with easy ones like what are you favorite movies of all time. Take turns answering and alternate who asks the question and who begins their list. It's fun and you can branch out into several subjects. One thing this makes you do is remember back to other times and maybe even some great times you have spent together. Some more suggestions might be Where are your favorite places to visit, who is your favorite actor or actress, what are your favorite sports, etc. You can even personalize this list for you two. You could ask, "What are your five favorite memories of things we've done?" or "What are your favorite places for me to touch your body?" As you do this activity, make mental notes. Those notes might come in handy later. Say for instance you are looking for a present for you partner. You might be able to find one of the movies on their favorite list. Not only will it be a great present, but they will be more amazed that you remembered. If you are wondering my favorite movies are anything with Adam Sandler in them, but my favorite of them is Billy Madison.
