Love me two times baby.

For those of you lucky enought to remember The Doors classic song "Love me two times" we would like to encourage you and those that haven't heard this classic song to take a listen to it. Love can be shown in many different ways much like the song suggests. To make a great relationship you have to encompass many different forms of love. You have to be a friend, lover, partner, gardian angel, entertainer, shoulder to cry on, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on forever and if you want the best relationship you must be all these things for your partner. So don't think if you are getting into a relationship that you just need to be present to make everything great. You really have to put the effort into this life. So go listen to the song mentioned above and then thing about how important your relationship is to you.

Post # 100 Wow - Showing your Partner you want them around for a long time.

It seemed like just the other day I had the idea for this blog and now we are already at post number 100.

Today in honor of this occasion we are going to suggest you bring your partner a special treat. Not cake or candy but something good for them. Make sure it is something they like and is healthy for them. Carrots, apples, bananas, anything that is natural will most likely be good for them. Don't try to pass off something you think they should eat make sure again it is something they like.

By showing our partners we are concerned about their health we also show them how much we care about them. I mean if we didn't want them around we would be giving them things like greasy bacon sandwiches with load of mayo on them. The point is we want to spend as much time with our partners as we are allowed and if they eat healthier we might get a few extra years with them. That would be worth a lot to me.

Keep the Fireworks going!

Well the 4th of July has passed and so have the fireworks. You can however keep the fireworks bursting all year long. Now I am not talking about buying several thousand dollars worth of fireworks and lighting them off each night. I am talking about keeping that excitement going in your relationship. Think about how you watch in awe as each blast lights up the sky. Now make the everyday things you do look that special. Cook for you partner, let them sleep a little later, anything that will make them feel special and show you care about them will do. I enjoy fireworks but I would much rather have my partner give me a fantastic kiss before leaving for work, or hold my hand as we walk to the mall. These little fireworks are what makes your heart jump up and down. Now if you want to get literal you could turn all the lights off in the house and find firework displays on YouTube, not only would that be literal it would be romantic also.

Make a personal fireworks show.

Fireworks themselves are romantic but you can make them a little more romantic if you put a little effort into it. Find a secluded spot that now one else is at and park the car there. Either spread out a blanket in the grass or get a little padding a spread it out on the hood of the car. Make sure you can lay down and watch the sky show. Don't put extra strain on your neck looking up into the sky. Hold hands and watch as the sky comes alive. It will seem like you are the only two people in the world watching this display. Now if that isn't romantic I don't know what is.

Lay on the floor together.

When is the last time you and your partner just laid on the floor. We just got new carpet and I decided to just plop down on the floor to see how it felt. My partner soon joined me and she laid there holding hands and we looked up at the ceiling giving us a different perspective then we had had just a few minutes ago. It is amazing how different everything looks from this angle. So next time you and your partner are just lazin around spend some time on the floor and see what you might be missing. It will maybe help you understand how you have to look at everything in your relationship at all angles, this helps the couples stay happy and in love.

Dig up some old love notes.

If you want to rekindle some romance, all you have to do is dig up some old love notes. You know the ones you might have written when you first started dating. It might sound silly but by doing this you refresh you mind as to the way you felt about your partner when you first fell for them. The notes might be sappy or corny but they will tell you how much you wanted to be with the person you are with. One problem might be that all your conversations were done via email. Well just today I dug up some old emails between my wife and myself. I never thought I would see them again but during our recent move they serviced again. Bringing back a lot of memories of the little things we have done together. Doing this will make you look at your partner as you did back then. Don't be surprised if you find yourself smiling at them a lot during the day, just make sure to share the notes with them so they can smile back.

Rent a Silly Comedy Movie

As we have mentioned many times laughter is great for your relationship and health. So tonight find one of those supper silly movies to rent. Something along the lines of Airplane or Naked Gun are great examples. Something that will have you busting a gut the whole time you are watching it. The Three Stooges or American Funniest Videos are another couple that keep the laughs coming non stop. Never under estimate the power of laughter. If you partner is mad at you or if you have done something wrong a good laugh gets the perspective back in place in a hurry. As the expression goes live, love, and laugh.
