Dress it up a little!

Romance can take all shapes and forms but usually we want it to be as comfortable as it can be. However the more comfortable we get the less likely we are to get out of that comfort. One of the things that takes a big hit is dressing up to go out to dinner or on a date with each other. We get in a habit in a relationship of feeling so comfortable that it takes over the way we dress. Soon we find ourselves looking for places to eat where we can wear or comfortable clothes and be ourselves. Think back to when you wanted to impress each other. Did you wear your loose fitting clothes or eat at the local fast food establishment? No you went someplace nice and you wore clothes to impress each other. Why don't we do that now? At least once a month you should shed those normal clothes and venture out together looking good together. Find a place that is on the higher end of your budget and doesn't have any cartoon characters or clowns. Then spend the night conversing and enjoy the sights of each other. Find something to do after dinner without dressing down. Go for a stroll or go out for a drink and keep the dressed up feel going all night.

Your partners Birthday take it seriously.

As we age we don't want to celebrate another year of getting older. However, there is that little kid in all of us that enjoys being the center of attention and getting things to make us feel special. You can do this for your partner, even if you don't have much cash. Things you can do without much money is number one throw them a party. Invite all their family and friends and just let them enjoy the company of the people that mean the most to them. You can also make their favorite dinner, or breakfast to help them see how special you think they are. The important thing here is to go out of your way a little to show your love. Flowers fade, presents get old but the memories you can build in this manner last a lifetime. Take this from me never let an opportunity pass to celebrate your love for one another. You never know when it could be the last time to celebrate or when it just might brighten your partners life up a little.

Last Chance.

Today is your last chance to get that perfect Valentine's day gift. The way the economy is now I totally understand if you don't have enough money to go out and purchase an expensive present. So if that is the case then you have to use your mind. Believe me, your partner will understand your financial woes and a heart felt gift is just as meaning full as anything when you are in financial straights. Some ideas might be fixing a candle light dinner, breakfast in bed, coupons for chores around the house, homemade card filled with your feelings, Renting a romantic movie and a bottle of cheap wine, a promise to do something later once your finances are in better shape, or even just a simple night of passion doing all the things your partner likes. It may sound silly but I thing these ideas show a lot more love then just going out a buying the most expensive thing you can find. Have a great Valentine's Day everyone and let me know any fun and exciting things you do to show your love for your partner. Drop me a line at romantincantics@gmail.com and fill me in.
