Meditation On the Toilet?

Check out this book called Toilet Yoga and maybe you can add this in too.

Okay we all know that meditation is good for us.  Many of us however complain that we don't have time to sit in silence long enough to meditate.  You complain about the kids interrupting or your spouse asking you questions, etc.   This got me thinking the other day.  The one place that most people can have a few minutes to themselves is usually in the bathroom.  So, why not start meditating in the bathroom.  You could do it while you are taking care of business or you could fake having to go to the bathroom so you can find that time to meditate.  Sounds like a good idea to me.  Don't flush this away until you try it, the powers that be do not judge where you meditate.

Domestic Violence Sucks

Domestic violence is a disturbing and sadding topic.  Most people don’t know why it happens or how to approach it.  One wonders why someone could treat another in such a horrific way or even why someone would stay with a partner that treats them that way.
The 5 star rated book Understanding Domestic Violence and Abuse by Kelina Cowell, explains in detail the statistics, causes and effects of domestic abuse and the impact that it has on it's victims.
The sad fact is that anyone can become a victim of domestic abuse.  Each of us has been touched by it in some way, whether we know of someone or have been a victim ourselves.  It comes in many different forms.  Psychological, physical, sexual, financial, emotional, and these are only naming a few. The aim is to gain power and control and the impact is devastating.
As listed within these powerful pages some victims will experience poor general health, mental heath issues, feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, self-loathing or apathy.  This makes the road to freedom extremely challenging and to many seem impossible.
The statistics are breathtaking.  1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.  Now think about how many of those victims don’t report the abuse and live in fear and pain for years. How many children are witnesses to this?  It’s heartbreaking.
Understanding Domestic Violence and Abuse is eye opening.  It is full of facts, history, and helps the reader understand the reasoning and how to break the cycle.
If you know someone who is in an abusive relationship this book will give you the knowledge to help them break free.

Are You Prepared For Your Honeymoon?

Preparing for the Honeymoon: Honeymoon Fashion Tips

Expert Author Sherly A. Mendoza
Aside from the wedding ceremony itself, the honeymoon is one of the most awaited parts of a couple's new journey in life. Couples spend a lot of time and money just to make sure that they choose the perfect honeymoon location. For some, spending their first days together as husband and wife means honeymooning in their favorite island. For others, spending some nights in a posh hotel is enough. No matter where one chooses to honeymoon, though, one thing is almost always taken for granted: the wardrobe.
Even if honeymooning couples normally spend most of their time by themselves, looking good is still important. This is tantamount to feeling good and confident about one's self. If you are getting married soon and are in the middle of finalizing honeymoon plans, it will do you a lot of good to check out the fashion tips that follow.
Summer Honeymoon
- If comfort is more important than fashion for you, your honeymoon wardrobe should consist mostly of cottony outfits. This is especially true if your honeymoon falls in the middle of the summer season. Cotton is a very breathable material, so it is the most comfortable. You'll find a lot of fashionable clothes made of cotton. There are sleeveless summer dresses for the young bride; and cotton shirts for men. Choosing the right color is essential; go for light shades as dark colors tend to attract heat.
- A summer honeymoon means plenty of time in the beach. This means that you should prepare as many swimwear as you can. Bright colors are perfect for beach wear of any type: bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, men's swimming outfits, board shorts and even maxi dresses, colorful sarongs and cover ups. Bring more than one swimwear so that you won't have to wear the same one everyday. Part of your summer honeymoon fashion are your sunscreen lotions and lip balm.
Sleepwear
- Whether your honeymoon is in the summer season or not, bringing the right kind of sleepwear is important. Brides should go for lacy lingerie or nighties. And yes, the groom should go for funky boxers even if sleepwear is only for the bedroom. This does a lot in creating the right honeymoon ambiance.
- Cover up a little more when honeymooning in the winter season. But choose styles that are still fashionable.
Cold Weather Fashion
- If your first romantic outing as husband and wife takes place in the colder parts of the year, it is best to prepare a sweater, jacket or sweatshirt. Winter honeymooners, especially those who plan to spend their time in a ski resort, should bundle up in the right outfit, from the head gear down to their footwear. Look for coordinated outfits like winter jackets (preferably hooded), ear muffs, winter pants and boots. Of course, it is important to go for clothes that you feel most comfortable in; otherwise, you won't be able to move around too much.
Footwear
- For the summer season, it is best to prepare two sets of footwear: a pair of beach slippers and elegant sandals that you can use for fancy dinner dates. Men should go for slipper-sandals that they can wear on the beach, as well as simple dress shoes for romantic dinners. Go for boots for colder weather. And just in case the hotel or resort you are going to stay in does not have one, bring a pair of bedroom slippers.
Extra Stuff
- Lastly, it is up to you if you want to bring hats as these can be especially useful in protecting yourself from the sun. There are hats and hoodies that are perfect for the windy and wintry season.
The best thing to remember when preparing your honeymoon wardrobe up is comfort. No matter how fashionable or expensive your outfits are, if you are not comfortable with what you are wearing, you won't look good in it. Confidence is a big factor in looking and feeling good - whether you're honeymooning or just hanging out with your spouse.

Make Love it's Valentines

February 14th is a day of romance, when love is in the air. We celebrate it with the exchange of candy, flowers, cards and gifts between lovers and friends. What better time for love making than this universal day of love?
It's the best kind of gift really, when you think about it. Most men would prefer it, and will never exchange it. You don't have to spend time shopping and you don't have to gift wrap it, except with some pretty panties, of course. With the money you save on his gift, you can get yourself something nice.
However, it's important to make your gift special for your true love. Get rid of all the distractions, maybe get a baby sitter, put the dogs out for a while, and toss the cat off the bed. Don't check your email and be sure to turn off your cell phones.
Put on some nice music and light some candles to create a little ambiance. Devote yourself totally to your mate and don't allow anything to come between the two of you. Live completely in the minute when it comes to love making. Try not to let your mind wander to day-to-day tasks or worries over finances or family.
Allow love to be the center of attention and watch how delighted your lover will be. Make this a Valentine's Day that he will remember for many years to come. It certainly won't be a gift that sits in the closet, never to be worn.
Although men typically have a stronger sex drive than women, lovemaking has many benefits for women too. In addition to burning about 70 calories per session, sex alleviates stress and promotes sleep.
Best of all, making love to your partner builds trust and a deeper understanding of each other, both of which are essential in a healthy relationship.
