Save thing for sentimental gifts later.

One thing you should get in the habit of doing is saving things that might be really sentimental later on in your relationship. These little reminders of the past work well as presents during the future. Some of the things I have saved and given as a gift are, the movie tickets from our first date, a flyer from the cruise we got married on and our first email conversations that I printed out before even our first date. At the time these didn't seem like important little tit bits but when you present them to your partner on your 5th year wedding anniversary they seem a little more important. Pictures can also be helpful so take lots of pictures when you do anything together. Other things I can think of that would make great gifts are: pregnancy tests from a child (great for a graduation present for your partner), the recorded version of a song that you first dance to, or some momentous of your first trip together. Heck you could even take a picture of the two of you each time you have an anniversary and then each year give it as a present as you add another picture to it. Memories are so precious to us and the simplest thing can remind us of the great times we have had.

Break out the Christmas Shows from your past.

It doesn't matter if her 18 or 65 you still have some type of Christmas show that you watched when you were younger. The one I can remember the most is "A Charlie Brown Christmas" I couldn't wait of it to come on when I was younger. I even saw that it is still on today. One of my sisters and I would always stay up late on Christmas and we would watch an old Bob Hope movie called "The Lemon Drop Kid" If you go searching now a days I am sure you can find a dvd of your favorite Christmas Show or better yet find out your partners favorite and pick one of those up. Give it to them on Christmas Eve and watch it together before retiring for the night. Sad to say but a lot of people associate time frames with what was on television at that time. This action might just put him/her back into a time frame where magic happened.
