Great ways to save some cash

You library has movies you can get for FREE!

Saving money is sometimes as simple as breaking your routine of doing things. Using your common sense to rethink how you spend your time and money. Something as simple as changing your route to work can save on your fuel use, thus saving you money.
[1] For all you pet lovers, have you thought about starting a savings account for your pet? Saving even five dollars a week in an account just for them, can help take away the shock to your checking account when your pet needs yearly shots, a check up or becomes ill.
[2] If your freezer needs defrosting, use a portable fan to help remove the moisture from the freezer. It will defrost quicker and air from the fan will help dry it completely before you start placing your food items back into it. The shorter time period your food items are out of the freezer, even if they are refrigerated, will cut down on food loss.
[3] When making your grocery list, check which coupons you will need and attach them to your list, so you will have them on hand and not forgotten at home.
[4] Volunteer at theaters and museums, that way you get to see the productions for free.
[5] Did you know you can get movies, music and books on tape from your local library? It might be time to renew your library card to take advantage of all these freebies.
[6] Organize your weekly shopping trips to curb backtracking and wasting fuel.
[7] Use something until it's worn out. Don't replace a working appliance or sweater just to get a different color. Every season brings new colors, your money will run out before they do.
[8] Make a list of the people you buy gifts for on a regular basis. Carry it with you and when you see something that fits your budget and them, buy it. It's ok to buy for a June birthday in January or for Christmas in March if it's going to save you money.
[9] Use your crock pot to help keep hot air out of the house during summer, your air conditioner will thank you, not to mention your energy bill being smaller.
Taking a few minutes each week to think about what you will be doing in the next few days, can save you money in the long run. Finding even small savings in your everyday life can make a big difference in how you live in the future.

Fun things to do on a date.

A small cafe is a great break from overpriced places.

Dating does not have to be difficult. In fact it can be fun and exciting if you know where to go and what to do. Most people run out of fresh ideas to entertain that certain someone. New couples end up on the dating merry-go-round of movies, restaurants and home videos. This is my new 2009 dating advice on fun things to do on a date.
1. Step away from those over-priced trendy restaurants and try a local neighborhood cafe. These are the ones that have small iron tables on the outside and internet hubs inside. The coffee and snacks are usually a delight because they are original recipes and not commercial giants.
2. If you are penny pinching these days, like so many others. Try packing a picnic basket with a checkered table cloth and head to a park. You can always find a cozy spot to have lunch and quietly get to know one another. This is cheap but it is also very romantic.
3. Another inexpensive dating idea is Hiking. Hiking on nearby trails can be fun because it's quiet and not crowded. It gives you and your date a chance to have a deep conversation and enjoy the hidden wonders of nature. This is one of my favorite places to go because I'm able to explore different streams and rock formations.
4. I am a big fan of the arts so I would definitely suggest a visit to your local museum. Museums have something for everyone, regardless of your tastes. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so there is always some type of exhibit for viewing. Check your area to see which new attractions are open. If you do not like being indoors, try going to an Art Street fair. I love supporting local artists.
5. During the summer and early fall months free outdoor concerts are usually available throughout the city. The only effort you will have to make is to get to the park early to grab a spot and bring your own sitting gear. It's definitely worth it to experience a live outdoor performance.
I hope these fun dating ideas help ignite your courtship and grow deeper in love.
