Make a fun drink on a hot day.

The weather is hot right now here where we live. This makes it hard to stay cool let alone want to snuggle down. The two of you can beat the heat a little by making a fun drink using ice cubes and whatever fruit you like. Just grab a blender and take turns picking fruits to put in the blender as some ice and blend away. This will make you a fruit slushy that is sure to cool you down a little bit. Make silly combinations like blueberries and bananas, or strawberries and peaches. It doesn't matter what you put in the drink as long as it is cool it will quench your thirst and help relax you. Check out the store for some crazy fruits to try like papaya or starfruit. Heck if you have the time try out several different combinations. If you of legal drinking age you could even add a little rum to make it a little more festive. What ever you choose I am sure it will help keep you cool on these dog days of summer.

Dividing the Drive time.

When you are getting ready to take a long trip one thing I feel you need to do is divide the drive time up. Plan on certain places where you will stop and exchange drivers. This will give you both a little rest and relaxation so you will be fresh when you get to your destination. I also would suggest being good company when you are not the one driving. Unless you are driving through the night, keep you partner company as they drive. Good conversation is one of the best ways to make a long trip seem shorter. You might even find the time flying by as the miles pass as you talk them away. If you do need to rest then make sure you partner has the directions he/she needs and get them something to listen to on the radio before you doze off. These simple little things will make the task of driving to your fun destination as fun as it can be.

Put a little romance in your tea!

Ice Tea is the greatest of all summer drinks but how can you make it a little more romantic or sexy. Why not add a little extra to your tea. Find some interesting juices to add to your ice tea. Maybe some kiwi juice or pineapple juice could make your tea a little more exotic. Adding a little more excitement to each class of tea that you drink. Imagine your partners reactions to drinking a glass of tea with some passion fruit juice squeezed into the mix. Find the hottest day and load your flavored tea up with ice and present it to your partner as a gift. Get some of those little umbrellas and make it seem like you are on vacation, at least until the finish the glass of tea.

Sangria is a wine punch that originated in Spain. It combines fruit that has been soaking in a wine to where the acidity taste of the fruit is transferred into the wine. While the alcohol taste is their it is almost covered up by the fruit taste. This is a great wine for sipping on late nights or at cordial events on hot summer days. Some sangria has added carbonation to give it a more zesty flavor. The possibilities of combinations are unlimited as you can add you own choices to the concoction to give it just the right flavors. Peaches, apples, kiwi, melon, oranges, are just a few of the many fruits I have seen in this flavorful wine. Sangria is a great choice if you don't like the dry taste of most wines as it give you a more youthful feeling while consuming it. Pick up a bottle on the way home tonight and then sit back and pour both of you a glass and enjoy the rest of your night.

The air outside is starting to get cold and it is about time to fire up the fireplace. Nothing is more romantic then sitting with your lover snuggled up in front of a nice cosy fireplace. This is something you need to think about when purchasing a house. Especially if you are buying the house in the heat of the summer. In the summer you might not think a fireplace is that important. Let's look at the romance factor. Sipping wine in front of a fireplace snuggled up with you honey. The crackling sound the smell of the wood, being in your own house, things could get a little heated up and why shouldn't they. If you have a fireplace now is the time to make sure it is in good order. Get someone out to clean the chimney, clean out the opening and get all the old ashes out. That way when the time comes to build that first romantic fire of the season you or your love won't be disappointed.
