Replace Sugary treats with kisses and love.

During the holidays it is so easy to find comfort it food. There are so many wonderful items to partake of during this season. Cookies, snacks, and rich foods make up the items that people make during the holidays that we don't usually find during the other times of the year. If you want a way to avoid falling into the Christmas treat trap, you need to look no father then your partner. They can be the support you need to fend off these sugary treats. Make a pact with your partner that every time you feel like picking up a cookie, rice crispy treat or any other sugary item that instead you will stroll over and give them a kiss instead. This will soon become a conditioned response and you will find yourself doing it without even thinking. You might just walk by some cookies and feel a desire to kiss your partner. The nice part about kisses is they don't have any calories and they can lead to lots more fun things to do around the holidays. Plus kisses taste a whole lot better!

Lights of Love

During the holidays we make everything we can a little more festive. Well one thing I think adds a lot of festivity to your Christmas tree is to use only candle light to light the room your tree is in. Yes you will have the lights on the tree but the soft flickering light of the candles will add a special touch to the room. Not only will it direct more attention to your tree but it will also make you more aware of each other. The normal bright lights we use make us think more of work and shopping then of the soft and wonderful feels of the holiday. When you have a day when the two of you can just snuggle down replace all your lighting with candles and see what happens. I am sure it will be a little more romantic.

Puppy Love.

A wonderful thing you can do for your partner this holiday seasons is give them the gift that gives back so much. There are thousands of dogs and cats at your local humane society that could us a wonderful home and would be the most lovable thing you could give your mate. So if you have room in your place or your apartment accepts pets then thing about giving your partner their very own buddy. They come in all shapes, sizes and colors so you will surely be able to match up the right animal for your partner. This gift works well with the children also if you need a little something to get Christmas moving. I would strongly suggest picking a animal from the humane society that way you brighten two lives during the holiday season. Those animals at the shelter have nothing wrong with them beside that no one loves them.

Watching the tree lights.

You know how the flicker of the fire sets a great mood for romance. Well at this time of year your Christmas tree lights can do the same thing. Turn all the lights down in the room with your tree in it and then find a cozy chair to snuggle down in. Don't let talking get in the way of enjoying the lights, just relax for a bit and take in the magic season of lights. Once you feel relaxed then you can start talking about things like presents you need to buy or what you want to do this holiday season. However, don't think to much the object here is to relax and enjoy the wonderful christmas tree the two of you have put up.
